Halloween… Not really a big deal here in Australia, but I love Halloween.
I love all the spooky things. Horror movies on a regular Tuesday night? You got it. Listening to a terrifying true tales podcast to relax? That’s me.
Lately, I’ve become addicted to YouTube channels about Stealth Camping. Now, I’m no camper (definitely more of a glamping kind of gal), but oh boy... Some of these stories are WILD, goosebump-inducing kind of wild, and I love it. Give them to me on repeat.
Haunted houses, horror experiences and mazes. I’m in. Put on some fake blood, a creepy costume and I'm heading off to Movie Worlds 'Scream World' night with friends.
I remember one year, I wanted to take a photo with one of the actors from Scream World. His name was 'The Butcher'. In complete silence, and still in character, he led me down a closed-off alleyway. It wasn’t until I was halfway down that I thought, 'You do work here, right?!' I turned to see my (now) husband standing at the entrance, lit up by the streetlamp, calling out my name. Hahaha! Smart man.
It was legit, and I ended up getting an amazing photo with 'The Butcher' in front of his creepy little portable butcher stand. Great night.
That said, I’m also very much a “Nope, I ain’t doing that” kinda gal, too. I’ve seen too many horror movies, you see. I don’t mess with Ouija boards. It's not worth the risk to find out if they’re legit.
But I do meditate often, smudge sage around our home, and pull out the tarot deck whenever I’m feeling a little lost in this crazy world.
This Halloween, my go-to piece of jewellery will be Tango in Black Onyx. Although Monsoons in Black Onyx is fabulous and fierce, it’s the decadence of Tango I’m after.
Black Onyx is a stone often associated with protection. It's said to ward off negative energy and harmful intentions. A powerful talisman, easily cleansed and recharged by the moon. It helps guard us from our nightmares and fear, while grounding us and helping us to find our inner strength and courage.
Perfect for the spooky season.
